No. Our travel plans have no deductible or coinsurance. Once your coverage is active, eligible medical expenses are covered according to the benefits and limits of your selected plan.
Yes, some of our travel insurance plans can be purchased after you have already arrived at your destination. However, when purchasing a plan after your trip has already started, a waiting period may apply before coverage begins.
For example, some plans have a 5-day waiting period when purchased after departure.
For the broadest protection, including benefits such as trip cancellation and baggage coverage, we always recommend purchasing your travel insurance before leaving home.

Depending on the situation, travel insurance may arrange direct payment to the hospital or medical provider, or the expenses may be handled on a reimbursement basis.
To receive coverage, you should contact the assistance center as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after receiving medical care. The assistance team can provide instructions and coordinate the appropriate process for your situation.

The Assistance Center will arrange or direct you to the most appropriate provider based on your location and circumstances. In a genuine emergency, you may seek treatment at the nearest hospital and must notify the Assistance Center within 24 hours.
